Day One: Arusha
Arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport is the first step of your journey towards exploring the stunning natural beauty of Tanzania. As you disembark the plane, you will be greeted by the warm African breeze and the hustle and bustle of the airport. But worry not, for you will soon be in the capable hands of the Africa travel bureau team.The Africa travel bureau team will meet you at the airport. They will then take you on a comfortable one-hour drive to either the African View Lodge or Dik Dik Hotel, depending on your preferences and reservations.
The African View Lodge and Dik Dik Hotel are both excellent accommodation options, offering comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and delicious meals. You can expect to be welcomed with open arms and a refreshing drink upon arrival, before being shown to your room to freshen up before dinner. Whether you choose to stay at the African View Lodge or Dik Dik Hotel, you can expect a wonderful dining experience. The lodges pride themselves on their delicious and authentic African cuisine, made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You can look forward to a delightful dinner with a wide range of options to choose from.
After dinner, you will go to your room for a good night’s sleep, ready to begin your Tanzanian adventure the following day. With the Africa travel bureau team taking care of all the details, all you need to do is relax, enjoy the delicious food, and look forward to the exciting experiences that await you.
Day two; Ngorongoro Crater
Your day will begin with a delicious breakfast at the lodge, likely consisting of a variety of options such as cereal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, and more. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy your meal and soak in the peaceful surroundings before embarking on your next adventure.
At 8:00 am, you’ll hop into your vehicle and make the short 20-minute drive to Ngorongoro Crater. This is one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the world, and you’ll have the opportunity to explore it on a half-day tour that will last approximately five hours. Upon arrival at the crater, our guide will take you on a tour of this incredible landscape. The crater is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras, and more. You’ll have a chance to spot these amazing animals up close and learn about their behavior and habitat from your knowledgeable guide. After the crater tour, you’ll begin the approximately three-hour drive to Serengeti National Park, stopping along the way for a picnic lunch. The lodge will provide you with a tasty lunch that you can enjoy in a scenic location, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Tanzania. As you approach Serengeti National Park, keep your eyes peeled for the iconic wildlife and landscapes that have made this park famous. You’ll arrive at the Hippo Trails Camp in the late afternoon, just in time for a delicious dinner. The camp is known for its fantastic food, which is often prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
After dinner, you’ll retire to your comfortable tent for a good night’s sleep. The tents at Hippo Trails Camp are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and all the amenities you need to feel at home in the wilderness. You’ll drift off to sleep to the sounds of the African night, dreaming of the amazing wildlife sightings that await you tomorrow.
Day three to Day Five; Serengeti National Park
You’ll wake up early at Hippo Trails Camp, and after a hearty breakfast, you’ll set out for a full day of unlimited game viewing in Serengeti National Park. This is one of the most famous and spectacular wildlife destinations in the world, and you’re sure to have an unforgettable experience.
Our guide will help you spot wildlife and provide you with fascinating insights into the park’s ecology and history. The guide will navigate the park’s vast landscape, seeking out the best places to spot animals and ensuring that you have a chance to see as much as possible during your time in the park. As you drive through the park, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the African savannah, dotted with acacia trees and punctuated by rocky outcroppings. You’ll see herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing on the grass, and perhaps catch a glimpse of a lion or leopard lurking in the shadows. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch in a scenic location within the park, enjoying a tasty meal while surrounded by the wonders of nature. The game drive will continue throughout the afternoon, as you explore different regions of the park and look for more wildlife sightings. Depending on the time of year, you may have the chance to see the famous wildebeest migration, where millions of these animals move across the park in search of fresh grazing. As the sun begins to set, you’ll return to Hippo Trails Camp for a well-deserved dinner. You’ll be treated to another delicious meal, enjoying the company of your fellow travelers and sharing stories of the day’s adventures.
After dinner, you’ll retire to your comfortable tent for a good night’s sleep. The tents at Hippo Trails Camp are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and all the amenities you need to feel at home in the wilderness. You’ll drift off to sleep, perhaps dreaming of the amazing wildlife sightings you’ll have tomorrow.
Day Six; Arusha
Starting the day with an early breakfast, you will depart from your accommodation and drive towards Arusha via crossing the Serengeti National Park. As you drive through the vast plains of Serengeti, you will be able to witness the natural beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The endless savannah grasslands and rolling hills are home to an astonishing array of wildlife, and you will have the opportunity to see them up close and personal. Your guide will explain to you the ecosystem and the importance of conservation in the area.
Once you arrive in Arusha, you’ll be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll catch your flight home or to your next destination. You’ll say goodbye to your guide and fellow travelers, feeling grateful for the amazing experiences and memories you’ve shared together over the past several days. You’ll leave Tanzania with a newfound appreciation for its natural wonders and the kindness of its people, and with memories that will last a lifetime.
